Blitzwing is currently one of Megatron's top officers and the only successful (read: surviving) member of the triple changer experiments led by Blackarachnia in the middle of the war. Prior to being 'volunteered' for the experiments, Blitzwing was a member of a trine made up of him, Panzer and Deadair. Before the war, Blitzwing (Blitzwehren, then) was an artist, a sculpter, who lived off of Cybertron with his trine. They joined the war when the functionalist government cracked down on 'nonessential work' like the arts.

After the deaths of the rest of his trine during the war, Blitzwing was forcibly made a part of the triple changer experiments and was reformatted, giving him a tank altmode as well as his native jet altmode. He was also given the ability to digest non-energon soluble materials as a way to keep his processing costs down as his new frame uses way more energy then it used to. With energon and oil shortaged during the back half of the war, he had to eat a lot of things he wasn't a fan of to keep going.

Now on earth, he's still fighting for the Decepticon cause! He would be at least, if he hadn't started a whirlwind enemies to lovers story with an annoying little autobot, who he then knocked up and had three beautiful daughters with.
